Alvaro Picardo Lampshade Collection
The Tolstoy Edit has collaborated with Alvaro Picardo to produce these hand painted lampshades. The silhouettes are taken from Count Fyodor Tolstoy, the nineteenth century artist, and portray evocative scenes of Russian rural life. Cossack dancing, balalaikas, the archetypal Russian ‘pechka’ or stove, galloping horses and borzoi dogs all serve to create a sense of vigour and magic that vividly come alive when illuminated.
