Large Georgian Irish Painted Pine Dresser, Galway, c. 1800. This is a particularly fine example with an elegant fiddle front or open base form (ample space for milk crockery and pots) as well as a typically West of Ireland open fretwork frieze with carved detail on the upright sections, offering Celtic folk art interpretation of standard neo-classical ornamentation. The piece has been stripped and beautifully restored for use in a modern home.
