Antique Carved Romanian Box Bench

An unusual but actually typically Transylvanian country settle, quite different in style to the Baroque and Renaissance style of neighbouring tribes, the indigenous inhabitants continued making furniture with a repertoire of abstract, jagged designs such as you see here. A hardwood and pine piece in original green paint. Suitable for seating and hallway. Even garden if varnished.
