Antique Marriage Box With Flowers On Blue

A neo-classically proportioned dowry or marriage box from the Giant Mountains that straddle Eastern Germany, Bohemia and Poland, superb build quality and professionally painted in the blue marble ground colour that is characteristic of this region. Original bun feet, candle box to interior. Dated to around 1830-40.
