Wonderful atmosphere of age to this dated marriage piece. It has symbolic bulfinches to front, owls and geese to the sides. A pierced heart, initials of the betrothed & date 1848. The original blue green has mellowed to a warm greeny gray over the decades. Original shelves. Quite usefully deep.
