Folk Painted Marriage Trunk Or Chest

A delightful folk painted marriage chest from Transylvania, from the Hungarian tribes, this one dated to 1928, the vibrant flowery and colourful painted decoration echoes the folk costumes worn by the bride and the textiles which also formed part of her dowry and which would adorn the clean room in her new house.
Pine, very clean condition inside.
