Hand Painted Lamp Shade, Dancers
The Tolstoy Edit has collaborated with Alvaro Picardo to produce these hand painted lampshades. The silhouettes are taken from Count Fyodor Tolstoy, the nineteenth century artist, and portray evocative scenes of Russian rural life. Cossack dancing, balalaikas, the archetypal Russian ‘pechka’ or stove, galloping horses and borzoi dogs all serve to create a sense of vigour and magic that vividly come alive when illuminated.
The shades are made from red card and hand painted in black paint.
The shades are 20 cm diameter at the bottom ,10 cm at the top and 15 cm slope.
The lamps can be pre-ordered now with delivery in February.
