Hungarian Folk Painted Marriage Box

A pine folk painted marriage chest or box from Northern Hungary, the red ground colour with swirling black or chocolate brown graining, with flower painting applied on top is typical of folk painted marriage furniture from this region, and could eminate from the towns of Mezokovesd or Eger.
It is really good condition, with original lock-plate and a cute smaller than normal size being less than 100cm wide.
