A folk painted marriage box settle from the painted furniture region of Central Transylvania, very clean condition, and good size, decorated in traditional design with birds and flowers. Double box lid lifts to storage within.
Dates to 1940 or 50s. Would have been kept in the ‘clean’ room and rarely if ever used.
