A smart big and well built antique settle in pine and hardwood, the seat lifts up to big storage area, we call it neo-classical as the form echoes that style, the pleasing curvature of the arms, and the fretwork design on the back rest harks back to Greek decoration, a shape based on the form of the lyre. Circa 1880, Central Europe.
