Superb Folk Art Carved Window Surround In Original Paint

Elaborate and decorative window surrounds are a feature of Russian architecture in cities like St Petersburg and wooden country mansions copied that look often combining traditional western decorative devices with original, folky and indigenous motifs. This is one of the best we’ve had, 8ft high, with sea serpents (or dragons) and in traces of the original blue paint.

Would make an amazing mirror or just use as a decorative feature in an interior.
