A superb condition marriage bench from the traditional Kaloteszeg area of Transylvania, made of beech and pine. There was an unbroken tradition of painting in this highly decorative style in this area going back well into the 19th century right up until this piece was painted in the second half of the 20th century. A box two chairs, a table and a dresser from the same marriage suite are also available.
